London – the definitive walking guide
“London – the definitive walking guide” was written by Colin Saunders and published in 2002 by Cicerone Press as a guide to all the amazing walking that can be done in Greater London, from short walks featuring some part of the capital’s historical or cultural heritage to the long-distance trails that encircle London (Capital Ring and London Loop). It includes a description of each route (though not a step-by-step guide) as well as useful information such as distance, start and finish points, the amount of green and waterside walking, public transport and more.
Sorry – the book is now out of print and there are no plans for a new edition, but you may be able to get hold of copies from second-hand booksellers, such as Amazon or eBay. But note that much of the information contained in it may now be out of date.
